Before Vivacity, Whitney was a press agent at Broadway publicity firm The Hartman Group. Her work prior to landing on the Great Bright Way was as a Senior Publicist at Cohn Dutcher Associates, representing performing arts institutions like The New York Pops and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, Caramoor International Music Festival, and Chicago’s acclaimed Ravinia Festival. Whitney hails from Connecticut and earned a B.A. in Public Relations from Miami University. When not speed-walking through the theater district, she can usually be found wandering Brooklyn Bridge Park with her dog Penny, loitering in the history section of Barnes & Noble, or leisurely honing her skills as an amateur sommelier.
associate publicist
Macy first fell in love with working in theater while ushering the world premiere of Waitress at the American Repertory Theater in 2015. Since then, she has held a variety of internships and positions in the entertainment industry — including at the A.R.T, CBS Entertainment, DKC/O&M, Broadway Across America, and Broadway Plus — before joining the Vivacity team in 2021. Macy holds a B.S. in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, and a focus in Women’s Studies, from Boston University. One of Macy’s favorite pastimes is taking long drives with her mom and singing songs from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and A Chorus Line at the top of their lungs.
